Growing up in the Windsor ON area, I had a variety of small mammals as pets, including gerbils, hamsters, a guinea pig, a hedgehog, and two rats. However, I also formed very close bonds with dogs and cats owned by members of my extended family. I got my BSc at the University of Western Ontario followed by my veterinary degree at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Shortly before my graduation from vet school in July 2017, I volunteered for a dog spay and neuter program in Thailand.
I joined the Beattie Pet Hospital team in September 2017. I appreciate the supportive work environment and enjoy working through the variety of cases that come in each day.
When I am not at work, I like crafting and listening to podcasts. I also enjoy spending time with my partner Josh, who is working on his PhD in particle physics, and my cheeky Scottish rabbits, Barley and Juniper.
